At Wekiva Youth Camp, sponsored by the Florida Federation of Garden Clubs, Inc. (FFGC), young campers in grades 1-8 can connect with nature and learn to appreciate the “real” Florida. Through a variety of activities, campers can build an understanding of conservation and environmental protection, providing a lasting foundation for a brighter future for the state and planet. Accredited by the American Camp Association, Wekiva Youth Camp is the perfect place for enjoying the outdoors while learning important life lessons.
Young campers who attend Wekiva Youth Camp will be able to enjoy activities that will help teach them to respect the environment and its conservation. This residential nature camp is designed to give campers in grades 1-8 an appreciation for the “real” Florida. Through nature study and other wilderness activities, campers can form an understanding of how to protect the environment for the future.

(FFGC), this residential nature camp is designed for campers in grades 1-8. Accredited by the American Camp Association, the camp activities focus on building an understanding of conservation and environmental protection. Campers will have the chance to learn about the “real” Florida and build a lasting appreciation for the environment.
Critter Camp is a mini-camp experience for boys and girls that have completed the 1st or 2nd grade. The three-day / two-night program introduces future campers to Wekiva Youth Camp with age-appropriate sessions in Nature, Crafts & Swimming and allows them to join with older campers at the Flag Circle and meals in the Dining Hall. Critter Camp happens right in the middle of a week of regular camp.

7th Grade Tent Camping Program
Campers are brought to a nearby primitive camping site within the state park, where the spend the majority of the week learning how to camp in tents, cook their own meals over a fire and live in one of Florida’s last pristine wildernesses without the distraction of light pollution, vehicles or even other campers.

7th Grade Naturalist Program
Campers in this program will remain at the main camp for the week and will loosely follow the regular camp daily schedule. The Naturalist Program is offered to girls that have just graduated 7th grade and it is held the last week of camp. This unique program is a transition from the usual 3rd through 6th grade camp schedule of swimming, crafts and nature to an individualized and varied schedule, different from any other.
