At Suzuki Music Schools, we are dedicated to inspiring young minds to experience the joy of music. Our two Connecticut locations in Westport and Orange are 501(c)3 community music schools that prioritize a high standard of musical education. We use the Suzuki method, a method that not only promotes excellence in music but also develops respect, discipline, personal confidence, teamwork, and a strong work ethic. All of this is done in a nurturing environment that also enriches family bonds. Our mission is to provide a high standard of musical education using the philosophy and methodology of Dr. Shin’ichi Suzuki. We believe in offering a nurturing environment to develop excellent musical skills and to guide all our students towards a lifelong love and understanding of music. Paula Gallo is an experienced and passionate vocal and piano instructor. She has been immersed in music for more than two decades, beginning with piano lessons at the age of 8. She then studied with renowned pianist Ruth Harvey Manning of Westport, CT, and minored in piano at Syracuse University. When she’s not designing graphics, Paula teaches Music Together in Fairfield County, a program that encourages toddlers and infants to explore their musicality. She also teaches piano and voice at the School of Rock in Fairfield, CT, which uses performance-based learning techniques. With Paula’s unique and proven method, she guarantees her students will see noticeable improvement in six weeks or less.

At the YMCA Camp Mahackeno, your child will have a summer of fun and friendship! Our traditional summer day camp is designed to create an environment where campers can make new friends and grow. Our highly trained counselors and staff are committed to providing a safe and nurturing atmosphere, as well as a wide range of activities for campers to explore. At YMCA Camp Mahackeno, we understand how important it is for campers to form meaningful relationships. We also recognize the need for children to learn about themselves and others. That’s why we encourage campers to build lasting friendships and foster their own personal growth. Our caring and knowledgeable staff are dedicated to helping campers make the most of their summer experience.

Westport Continuing Education (WCE) provides a wealth of educational experiences for adults and children in Westport, Fairfield County, and the region. We offer over 700 classes, workshops, and camps throughout the year, after school, in the evenings, and on weekends. Our experienced educators, certified teachers, and professionals from the region lead these engaging programs, while our partnerships with diverse organizations and businesses enrich the learning experience. Annually, we serve nearly 6,000 adults and kids, giving them the opportunity to gain knowledge and skills.

Does your child have an artistic streak? Erik & Kristen offer unique art classes tailored to your child's interests. From unicorns to landscapes and puppies, they will be able to explore their creativity and develop their own drawing skills. These classes are kept small so that each child receives the individual attention they need to create their own masterpieces. They will use a variety of mediums such as acrylic, watercolor, oil pastels, pencils, and collage paper. Erik & Kristen's goal is to help children start each class with a design concept and guide them in realizing their vision. If your little one has an affinity for art, Erik & Kristen offer specialized classes to nurture their creativity. These classes are small to ensure each student gets the personal attention they need to create unique works of art. From acrylic to collage paper, they will be exposed to a range of materials to explore. Erik & Kristen will help each budding artist come up with a design concept and provide the guidance they need to see it through. Whether your kiddo loves unicorns, landscapes, puppies or just wants to develop their drawing skills, Erik & Kristen's classes will provide the perfect opportunity.

Are your kids ready to take their tennis game to the next level? Westport Tennis Club (WTC) is here to help! We offer several junior tennis teams that are perfect for experienced players looking to play matches or for those who are just starting out. Our USTA Team program gives players the opportunity to compete in tournaments and play on a travel team. Plus, we have qualified staff members to run all team practices. New players must be evaluated by a coach or program director before joining the team. So what are you waiting for? Wakeman Town Farm Sustainability Center is an exciting example of community-focused organic living in Westport. The Farm, a model facility, offers local healthy food production, responsible land stewardship, and other sustainable practices. Its mission is to serve the community through educational workshops, student internships, after-school environmental clubs, children’s summer camp programs, growing fruits and vegetables, animal husbandry, and a farm stand and CSA pickup location. At Wakeman Town Farm, you can learn about sustainable living from experienced professionals.
