Pastel Painting Class
This class will help you develop confidence with the pastel medium, including building a strong composition, understanding values, creating light and shadow, and developing cohesive color harmony in your paintings. Various underpainting techniques will be introduced. Students may use reference photos they have taken themselves or paint from life. See the list of materials and resources.

Clay Hand Building
Get in touch with your creative self through the fun and tactile experience of working in clay. In this class, you will learn about the unique properties of clay and how to make hand-built, functional stoneware dishes, platters, etc. that you can use at home. Your pottery will make great gifts, too! Create your pieces using the slab and coil methods of construction. Decorate your work with embellishments and textures. And finally, learn how to glaze your pottery using a variety of techniques and colors. Beginners welcome!
