Once upon a time, in the charmingly quaint state of Connecticut, renowned for its bustling cities, serene country landscapes, and history-riddled corridors, there thrived a sprightly community of kids. These weren't your ordinary, run-of-the-mill kids, mind you. Oh, no! These were the fantastically skilled, super clever, 'Sewing Warriors of Connecticut' - kids who could stitch, embroider, and tailor with a flair that would make even a seasoned seamstress's eyes twinkle with intrigue. The ringleader of this merry gang was none other than a funny, freckle-faced girl named Sally Stitchalot. Sally was famous throughout Connecticut, not for her spectacular spelling bee wins or her unmatched jump rope skills, but for her extraordinary sewing abilities. She could whip up a Halloween costume faster than you could say 'Trick or Treat', and her hand-sewn teddy bears were legendary. Sally and the 'Sewing Warriors' turned the mundane act of sewing into a thrilling adventure. Imagine threading the eye of a needle being as exciting as a bull's eye shot in an archery tournament, or stuffing a cushion turning into a race against time to save their imaginary kingdom from the wrath of the 'Uncomfortable Uglies', creatures who despised anything soft and cozy. There was no stitch too tricky, no fabric too tough for these nimble-fingered warriors. Their laughter echoed through the quiet streets of Connecticut, where the sight of kids huddled over sewing kits became as common as squirrels scurrying around with acorns. They embroidered a tapestry of joy and creativity across the state, inspiring others with their passion and knack for the 'art of the stitch.' And so, the tale of the 'Sewing Warriors of Connecticut' spun on, stitched together with threads of fun, friendship, and a love for sewing that could not be unraveled.

For over 50 years, Frontier Camp has been dedicated to making disciples of Jesus by sharing God’s Word amidst the beauty of His creation. Since our founding in 1969, we’ve been licensed by the Texas Department of State Health Services and are proudly accredited by the American Camping Association.
