About Hartford Stitch

At our sewing, fiber and textile art school in West Hartford, CT, we have something for everyone! Whether you're an experienced seamstress or a complete beginner, our classes are tailored to meet your individual needs. We offer classes for adults and kids, plus online video workshops. Our experienced instructors will guide you through the entire process, from choosing fabrics to mastering techniques. Our mission is to foster a love of sewing and textile art, and to help you create beautiful projects that you can be proud of. Kid Sewing Machine 101
Sewing is fun, creative, practical, and empowering! Whether you have a budding fashion designer in your family or a creative kid who's looking for a new artistic medium-- this class is a perfect way to start! We'll learn the basics of machine operation: threading the machine and bobbin, switching stitch length and width and we'll finish up by sewing a patchwork pillow!

Fall Kid After School Mon 4pm
Students will learn fundamental sewing skills, and build upon existing skills, using our proven sewing curriculum of fun kid-approved projects!

Winter 2023 Teen Afterschool
Teen students will learn fundamental sewing skills while exploring different sewing mediums including garments, quilting, bagmaking and more!
