At Parents Magazine, we believe in the importance of nurturing and giving equitable access to the wonderful world of science and nature in the future leaders of tomorrow. We strive to provide both children and adults with the opportunity to collaborate with their peers and develop essential leadership, relationship, and environmental stewardship skills that are essential for success.
Through our mission, we aim to provide children with a well-rounded education, teaching them the importance of respecting the environment and its resources, while also developing their skills in leadership and relationship building. We believe that these skills are essential for the leaders of tomorrow to reach their full potential.

Our traditional, old fashioned summer day camp returns this year! The summer day camp program focuses on the natural relationship between our own interactions and how they affect the surrounding world. We emphasize positivity, creativity and fun within the large community of campers working together and building life-long memories and friendships.
In small trail groups campers discover Walden West’s natural beauty, its creeks, redwood forest, nature trails, pond, and garden. Activities include hiking, archery, arts and crafts, games, gardening, sports, singing, nature study, and the reopening of the pool! We’re also excited to reopen the C.O.R.E. (climbing wall and challenge course) as part of the day camp program that builds self-confidence, physical coordination, and the spirit of teamwork.
