About PAINT:LAB in Santa Monica, CA

At PAINT:LAB, we invite people of all ages and skill levels to discover their inner artist. Our staff of experienced painters and artists create an enjoyable and stimulating atmosphere for our customers. In two-hour workshops, customers can learn a new medium, art process or just brush up on their techniques. Our mission is to open the door for everyone to explore the power of paint and our motto is “Everyone Can Paint!” So come and be inspired at PAINT:LAB and let your creativity shine.

Programs at PAINT:LAB in Santa Monica, CA

BeAKid
After School Workshops

Mondays 3:30-5pm : Featured Artist. Students will look at a particular artist’s work and learn the style and technique used by the artist. Tuesdays 4:00-5:30p : Animals & Adventure. Each session we will focus on animals, their habitats and/or explore places around the world through art using different styles of painting and drawing. Wednesdays 4-5:30p : Mixed Media. This class will focus on the use of different materials. Students will create art looking at subject matter from abstract to realistic pieces using different mediums. Thursdays 4-5:30p : Drawing & more. Students will learn the fundamentals of drawing, including but not limited to perspective, light/shadow and composition, with the use of various drawing materials. Fridays 4-5:30p : Fantasy. An interactive class where students look at a particular aspect of fantasy art, from fairies to dragons, to recognizable cartoons and caricatures in a made-up or realistic environment. This class welcomes input and encourages students to make suggestions on subject matter.

SUMMER CAMP

A full day of camp is 9am-2:30pm and includes three sessions with two 30min snack/stretch breaks! We will have a Morning Session 9-10:30am, Lunch Hour Session 11:00am-12:30pm, and an Afternoon Session 1pm-2:30pm. Sessions can be booked by daily single session, daily double session, daily full day session, weekly single session, weekly double session or weekly full day session! A double session is either Morning+Lunch (9-12:30pm) or Lunch+Afternoon. There is a lot of room for flexibility, as we know how the summer schedule can get.

Private Parties for Kids

Kids parties are booked for 2 hours, with 1.5 hours of step-by-step instruction. It includes all materials (apron, easel setup, canvas, paint, etc.) and our staff will demonstrate a painting or drawing of your child’s choice! It is $48 per painter + $100 private room reservation fee. A party with 10+ guests will be $43 per painter. Minimum of 6 painters required.
