About Diablo Gymnastics School in San Ramon, CA
Our latest addition is the spacious and air-conditioned Pre-Team gym, which is perfect for our four- to seven-year-old students. Since 1966, Diablo Gymnastics School has been a leader in gymnastics instruction. Founded by Jim Gault, the program started out small, but soon outgrew its space at College Park High School and had to move to an empty Safeway building. With Mr. Gault’s dedication, Diablo’s program began to make an impact nationally and team members traveled extensively to compete in countries all around the world. In 1978, the school found a permanent home in a warehouse complex on Old Crow Canyon Road in San Ramon. This location has allowed the school to grow from two hundred to more than a thousand students each week. The latest addition is the air-conditioned Pre-Team gym, perfect for four- to seven-year-old students.

Sweet Peas (2 to 6 years old)
Sweet Peas is an educational gymnastics program designed to promote physical, social and cognitive development in children 2 to 6 years old. Early childhood provides important windows of developmental opportunity. Founded in educational gymnastics, the Sweet Peas curriculum focuses on age-appropriate gymnastics activities that foster coordination, balance, core strength, bilateral awareness and flexibility. Taught in a social, collaborative environment, Sweet Peas provides important life lessons in self-awareness, courage, success and friendship. The Sweet Peas curriculum is centered around excellent, progressive gymnastics training which incorporates color recognition, language development, spatial relations, music awareness, measurements and counting skills.

Camps
Summer Camps run from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m Monday-Friday. Registration is $300 per student per week or $60 per day and open to boys and girls ages 6 to 10 years old. Camp activities include gymnastics, games and time for snack (sent from home). Occasionally, Day Camps are offered on school holidays and run from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. Registration is $60 per student per day.

Team
Diablo Gymnastic School’s competition team participates in the USAG Xcel Competition Program. The Xcel Program is an alternative USA Gymnastics competitive program offering individual flexibility to coaches and gymnasts. The goal of Xcel is to provide gymnasts of varying abilities and commitment levels the opportunity for a rewarding gymnastics experience. Each spring, Silver level gymnasts in Diablo’s Recreation Program are selected and invited to try out for the team. The team trains year round and competes in local competitions during the winter.
