As with most sports, the best time to learn is when you’re young. And you’ll have plenty of opportunity to pick up the basics and advanced moves at Sharks Ice San Jose. We have a team of highly qualified instructors who coach on-ice practices and lessons. Groups are separated based on age and ability.

LEARN TO SKATE 

Sharks Summer Hockey School Coaches will emphasize hockey fundamentals, focused on skating, passing, shooting and tactical play. Off ice training focuses on endurance, agility and fitness.  This camp is geared towards house and travel skill level players.  Enrollment includes one jersey and one t-shirt for each participant.

The goal of the Jr Sharks House League is to provide a positive youth hockey experience for players of all skills levels that will help them develop as players and individuals, and foster a life-long enjoyment of the game of hockey. We strive to create an environment where Northern California youth can learn valuable life skills such as teamwork, good sportsmanship, positive attitude and strong work ethic. The Jr Sharks House League is a recreational ice hockey program that fields teams in five age divisions: 6U, 8U, 10U, 12U and 14U. We are the house hockey branch of the San Jose Jr Sharks club, a USA Hockey Model Association.

It's a big place. Together with all of their church pals, the youngsters enjoy skating there. They have tables where we can relax and enjoy them, so I brought some sandwiches for them to eat. I went to The Sports bar to see the Oakland A's and the Sharks play while the kids were ice skating.
