At AYSO, we understand that parents want the best for their children. That’s why we rely on the hard work and dedication of volunteers to ensure that every child has a great experience. Our organization is run by volunteers, including coaches, referees and administrators. With over 125,000 volunteers from all walks of life, your child will get the attention and guidance they need to succeed.
For parents who may not have much experience with soccer, we offer special training courses that will quickly get you up to speed. In just a few short hours, you can become a qualified introductory-level coach or referee. This way, you can feel confident that your child is receiving the best possible experience with AYSO.
This program is targeted for kids of all experience levels, including ones that have never played soccer before. This program does not require any tryouts so everybody is placed on a team as long as there is room. Games are played on Saturdays between other teams from Region 64 as well as some other local teams (for 10U Division and up) from the South Bay in our Area (www.ayso2j.org). Game times vary each weekend and are usually some time between 9am - 3pm for 8U Divisions and above. For 8U Divisions and up, once the weekday practice schedule is determined (usually about a week or two before the season starts), they will remain the same throughout the season, unless a practice needs to be moved or canceled due to unforeseen circumstances.
