BeAKid
Firefly Art
We offer Firefly Art because the creative process is a fundamental part of development. Our Firefly classes are completely online. For a low monthly fee, we meet online once a week for an hour with live instructors who will coach you along with step-by-step narration of bringing your art project to life. We will ship all paper media to you every month as long as your membership is active. We highly recommend that you make a separate one-time purchase of a Firefly Starter kit for $25 (a $40 value) for the paint media used for all our art projects. The starter kit includes Softpastels, Watercolor pencils, Oil Pastels, Markers, Black sharpie, and a Brush and is available for purchase right on this webpage.

Early Engineers
We offer Early Engineers because too many children shy away from math and science. We want our kids, and yours, to be exposed to topics like velocity, bioluminescence, Newton’s Laws, levers & fulcrum, centripetal & centrifugal forces, reflection & refraction of light, and many more, in a fun-filled, interactive, kid-friendly, project-based learning environment. That way, when they go off to Junior High and High School, they will be more comfortable and willing to raise their hand when these topics come up. Familiarity now, will lead to the confidence to engage later. And we do this using their favorite building materials like Lego Bricks and K’nex blocks. As you can imagine, Early Engineers has been our flagship afterschool program for over 14 years. Kids absolutely love to show off their creations to their friends in class.

Chess Academy
Our structured curriculum ensures that the progress is steady. We learn the various endgames, middlegame tactics and popular openings. Our classes are exciting because in each class, kids get to challenge their buddies to a game or two of virtual chess. Like other academic subjects, chess requires regular practice at home after the classes, and we subscribe to platforms that allow our students to get all the practice they need.

Honeycode
We offer Honeycode because our children need to be creators, and not just consumers of technology. We are on a mission to make that happen by making all Sacarmento area kids Scratch-literate by the time they go to middle school. What better way to do that than channel their love for playing video games into creating videogames? What more? Building kid-friendly projects with lively discussions in a kid-friendly manner is extremely fun and surprisingly educational. Introducing Honeycode Advanced for our most advanced kids to further their Honeycode skills.
