About BeachSports in Redondo Beach, CA
BeachSports provides a safe and fun environment for children ages 4 to 15 to learn, grow and thrive. Established in 1995, our Beach Camps & Skateboard programs are designed and overseen by Los Angeles County Lifeguards and local elementary and middle school teachers. Our Camps are offered in Manhattan Beach, Redondo Beach and Hermosa Beach and provide a variety of different program options such as Beach Camp, Surf Camp, Volleyball Camp, Jr. Lifeguard Camp and Skateboard Camp. Every program has its own unique curriculum which has been carefully crafted to accommodate campers of different ages, abilities and comfort levels, and is taught by CPR & First-Aid certified coaches. At BeachSports, we provide the perfect combination of learning, fun and safety.

JUNIOR LIFEGUARD CAMP
Ocean safety and awareness education is a necessity for the kids of our beach communities. Starting at Age 8, our Intro to Junior Lifeguards camp is designed to educate and train our participants on the skills necessary to safely and confidently enter our oceans. Unlike other Junior Lifeguard programs, we pride ourselves on providing a relaxed and fun environment with low instructor to participant ratios and smaller class sizes. Although the lifeguard skills are being learned, we remove the competition intensity other programs strive for.

BEACH CAMP
Starting at Age 4, our Beach Camp is designed to be the perfect introduction to the beach for our younger campers. Our curriculum and activities were designed by local elementary school teachers to be inclusive, educational, safe and FUN! Campers will experience a variety of different beach and water activities, games, and educational lessons throughout the week that are designed specifically for their age group.

VOLLEYBALL CAMP
Learn and practice the fundamentals of Beach Volleyball with experienced local coaches. Starting at Age 7, our Volleyball Camp provides beginner training in passing, hitting, serving, rotation and rules of the game. Our small camp size and low coach to camper ratio ensure quality instruction and focus on each participant.
BeAKid
SURF CAMP
Starting at Age 7, our Surf Camp designed for first-time, beginner and intermediate surfers looking to improve their confidence and competence in the waves. Our small class size and incredibly low instructor to camper ratio of 1:4 ensures a safe environment with hyper-focused, individualized instruction for each camper. Our Surf Camp curriculum was designed by expert local surfer and instructor, Tommy Ostendorf, and is lead by experienced waterwomen and men who are excited to share their knowledge with their campers. In addition to learning surfing techniques, campers will also be educated on other essential aspects of surfing including, wave formation, tides, rip tides and currents, etiquette, equipment and much more!
