Programs at Turning Pointe School of Dance in Ramona, CA
BeAKid
BALLET
At Turning Pointe we have a deep love for the art of ballet! Our classes follow a closely structured sequence of training where dancers learn techniques and skills as well as stamina and discipline dependent on their age and skill levels. Our program focuses on training and educating our dancers in the art of ballet while also placing a focus on correct placement and injury prevention so that they can carry on extensive ballet careers. We encourage all dancers to take a minimum of one ballet class per week in order to build their technique and gain the tools they need to be successful in other dance forms.

JAZZ
Originating from the rhythms and techniques of jazz music developed by African Americans in the early 20th century, jazz dance is characterized by its fast movement and powerful steps. Dancers who take jazz focus on learning how to isolate different parts of their bodies, develop complex rhythms and patterns, and building strength. In this class, they will be exposed to a variety of jazz styles while also developing a strong foundation of traditional jazz skills that are both challenging and incredibly fun!

PRE-DANCE
At Turning Pointe, our pre-dance classes are the perfect place for young dancers to discover a love for dance. Classes range from ages 3-4 and focus on skills such as ballet, acro, and tap that provide children a taste of everything while nurturing their sense of exploration and creativity. Dancers will learn to explore movement, imagination, and listening skills through our loving and educated instructors.
