DAY CAMP

Day camp at Summer at Santa Catalina is a girls’ empowerment experience unlike any other on the Monterey Peninsula. Day campers have opportunities to stretch themselves mentally in a variety of camp classes and grow emotionally and spiritually through our interactive camper group activities—all while playing and making life-long friendships. Our unique day camp program offers a chance for girls to experience a taste of communal living while still going home at the end of each day. With our evening program option, day campers can literally stay with us from sunup to sundown!

MUSICAL THEATRE

Campers learn from the pros. Girls receive specialized training from instructors who know their craft inside and out, including tech, set design, costumes, dance, and performance. And the best part? Campers get to put on a show in our state-of-the-art 500-seat theatre. Get the full camp experience. After musical theatre each morning, campers take additional summer classes like marine biology, surfing, photography, art, yoga, dance, sports, and more! Not to mention field trips to local attractions like the Monterey Bay Aquarium and Carmel Beach, and fun, all-camp traditions like our closing campfire.

LEADERSHIP AT CAMP

Beginning in summer 2023, campers entering grade 9 can take part in our leadership program, Catalina CREW: Confident Resourceful Empowered Women. These campers will co-design a leadership curriculum with Camp Director Ange Atkinson and camp counselors. Campers who take part in this program in summer 2023 also get an opportunity to continue working with Ange through the 2023-2024 school year to co-design a second year of CREW—and return to camp for summer 2024 as entering 10th-graders in a great leadership capacity!
