About Encino Little League in Encino, CA

Encino Little League is focused on giving every child the opportunity to learn and develop their skills in baseball. Our program is tailored to each player's age, so they can play in an age-appropriate division. We don't have tryouts, as we want to give all kids a chance to play and have fun. We assemble teams with equal balance of ability, as much as possible, and we take into account coach or teammate requests as much as is practical. At Encino Little League, we believe in letting every child experience the joys of the sport. We recognize that each player has different abilities and we want to place them in an environment where they can grow and learn. Our divisions are divided by age to ensure that the players are playing with others of similar age and skill level. We don't require tryouts, as we want everyone to have the chance to play. We strive to create competitively balanced teams, taking into account coach and player requests when possible.

Tee Ball - ROOKIE & AA (ages 5 and 6)

This is a hybrid version of Tee Ball and underhand coach pitch. Players league age 5 who play in this division in the fall will be assigned to the separate Rookie (Tee Ball) division in the spring. To the extent the number of registrants allow, Rookie and AA may be separate divisions in the fall.

Farm (ages 8 and 9)

This division serves as an important transitional season for those moving from coach pitch to kid pitch. It also is helpful in the development of 9 year olds who had their first exposure to kid pitch during the previous spring season. IMPORTANT: there is no guarantee that an 8 year old who plays on the Farm field will play in the Farm division in the spring.
