Painting

Drawing/Sketching

You’ll take home a whole cast of character puppets and props and scenes for a hero story. We’ll create giant, shadow, and hand puppets. You’ll learn storytelling, theatre games, and puppet construction.



PUPPET PARADE (Puppet Camp)

You’ll take home a drawstring backpack, puzzles, and a treasure box.  We’ll create with shrinky dinks and funny objects as well as traditional media. You’ll learn collage, printmaking, and cultural arts exploration.



Mixed Media

You’ll take home kinetic mobiles, dream houses, and clay figurines. We’ll create with papier-mâché, model magic, and fun found objects. You’ll learn about paper engineering, whimsical assemblage, and clay armatures.

Art Yowza Alameda

There are several possibilities for after-school, day, and week-long camps at Art Yowza. My kid has participated in a number of these, learning a variety of skills and undertaking projects that I would never have the time or expertise to lead (like wax resist painting!). The director, Rebecca, also displays the students' work in a number of Alameda cafés and events. She's an excellent instructor, and I heartily endorse her art camps.

Such a friendly, organized, and welcoming setting. There are certain medical issues with my daughter. They were attentive and greeted her. She had a great time! Fun puppet performance, outdoor play, and art activities in a lovely backyard.
