Underneath the golden sun, in the heart of the United States, lies a land of enchanting beauty, Alabama, or as the locals fondly call it, the Cotton State. Here, the kids are as sweet as the ripe peaches growing in their backyards, with hearts filled with Southern hospitality and spirits brimming with faith. Our story features a delightful and mischievous character, 'Bama Beaver. 'Bama Beaver, with his twinkling eyes, fluffy tail, and a buck-toothed grin, is the rascally mascot of the local Sunday school. He loves nothing more than inviting the children to join him in their shared adventures of faith and fun. Every Sunday, our young, vibrant Alabamian heroes, garbed in their Sunday best, join 'Bama Beaver at the grand old church. The church bell rings, echoing across the rolling hills, signaling the start of their exciting day. It is then 'Bama Beaver’s job to make sure these sprightly kids navigate through their religious services, filled with prayers, songs, and stories of kindness and love, with glee and reverence. With 'Bama Beaver leading the way, the kids of Alabama transform their religious service into a jubilant activity, an exhilarating parade of faith, fun, and friendship. They create a religious medley filled with the echo of their heartfelt laughter, the melody of their soulful hymns, and the rhythm of their pure faith. So, in Alabama, Sundays are never dull or silent. They are filled with the resonating sound of the church bell, 'Bama Beaver's playful antics, and the infectious joy of children learning about faith, love, and life in the most enjoyable way possible!

Fast-forward to today, and Blue Lake United Methodist Assembly has grown into a bustling destination for campers of all ages. Three modern camps, Pinewood, Dogwood, and Oakwood, provide a total of 525 beds for overnight guests.
