About Camp DeSoto in Mentone, AL
At Camp DeSoto, girls are invited to explore the joys of summer camp in a nurturing Christian setting. Through outdoor adventures, new friends, and compassionate counselors, girls can learn new skills, find time for play, and grow in their knowledge of God’s love. At Camp DeSoto, girls can learn to trust and rely on each other and their counselors as they journey through the summer. With plenty of activities and time to relax, girls will have the chance to make lasting friendships and gain confidence in their abilities. Through the fun of camp, we hope to provide girls with valuable life lessons and the understanding that God is always with them.

Family Camp
We welcome families of all sorts. Aunts and uncles, nieces and nephews, grandparents, godparents, family friends – anyone who wants to share Camp with people they love is welcome to join us! This retreat is for children school-age (kindergarten) and older.

Women's Retreats
Retreats at Camp DeSoto are designed to provide grown-up girls with a taste of the same experiences we give campers - living and playing outside, enjoying creation, paying attention to God’s love in their lives, growing spiritually, spending time with friends, and meeting new people. All retreats are offered to women between the ages of 18 and 80, and no previous experience with Camp DeSoto is necessary!
