About Camp Amnicon

Welcome to Camp Amnicon, a wilderness adventure camp that offers year-round retreats and trips. Our mission is to provide unique experiences of community and adventure, encouraging people to step out of their comfort zones and discover God’s grace. Our rustic and secluded site is situated on the Wisconsin south shore of Lake Superior, just a 30-minute drive east of Duluth, Minnesota. We’re proud to be a member of Lutheran Outdoor Ministries, an organization of ELCA affiliated camps and retreat centers, and are accredited by the American Camp Association. We are a 501(c)3 nonprofit, owned and operated by the Camp Amnicon Foundation, a community of generous donors, volunteers and supporters committed to helping you experience “grace beyond your comfort zone.” We invite you to join us at Camp Amnicon for a wild and wonderful journey! Our campers are guaranteed to explore new and exciting places, meet new people and learn something new about themselves in the process. VOYAGEUR CANOEING

Traveling among the Apostle Islands in any shape or form is truly a unique experience. Combine that with travel in a 35-foot Montreal canoe and camping each night among the stars in the pristine beauty of the Islands makes a trip you’ll never forget.

NORTHWOODS ISLANDS ADVENTURE

Take a break from the everyday humdrum of life and discover just how rich the natural world can be. Turtle-Flambeau Flowage in central Wisconsin is incredibly beautiful, and absolutely TEEMING with wildlife. You’ll paddle from island to island, dig deep into life with your fellow adventurers, and experience God’s presence in unique and awe-inspiring ways.

RIVER HEROES SERVICE ADVENTURE

Enjoy a wilderness adventure and service experience rolled into one! You’ll paddle down the beautiful Namekagon/St. Croix Scenic Riverway, stopping frequently to pick up trash and remove invasive species.
