With nine convenient locations throughout the city, and hours that are open six days a week, Madison Public Library is proud to serve the community. Last year, nearly two million visitors took advantage of the resources, programs, and services that MPL offers. Multi-age Storytime

READ and PLAY together with children ages 5 and under! Engaging with books, songs and playful experiences all help children develop communication skills, patience, empathy, and pre-reading skills. It also helps to build a lifelong love of reading. Library programs are always free. Siblings and childcare groups are welcome.

Baby Gym

Help your baby gain pre-literacy and social skills and have fun at the same time! Baby Gym offers gross motor activities, snacks, and innovative play materials to help develop bodies and minds. For babies aged 3 months to 18 months. Drop in between 10:00am-12:00pm to make friends and play!

READ and PLAY with your favorite baby, ages birth to 17 months! Reading, singing, talking, and playing with your baby from the beginning is important because the roots of language are developing in a baby’s brain even before they can talk!
