About Higher Fire Clay Studio

For over two decades, Higher Fire Clay Studio in Madison has been providing parents and their children with a unique opportunity to explore the creative world of ceramics. From the gallery, parents can purchase unique pieces, including handmade jewelry, tiles, bowls, plates, mugs, and sculptures, all crafted by local and regional artists. Kids can join one of the group classes or receive one-on-one instruction to learn the basics of wheel throwing, hand building, and brush up on existing skills. Every Wednesday, Higher Fire hosts open studio nights, giving kids the opportunity to meet other ceramic enthusiasts and the studio dogs, Greta and Gilly.

Hands-on creative learning and fun! We emphasize creativity and give the kids lots of latitude on what they choose to make. We also have lots of ideas for any child who wants his imagination sparked!
