About GSNWGL - Girl Scouts of the Northwestern Great Lakes
Girl Scouts of the Northwestern Great Lakes provides girls in Northern Wisconsin and the Upper Peninsula of Michigan with the opportunity to become empowered young leaders, building courage, confidence, and character. With the support of over 6,000 volunteers and 15,000 girls, the organization strives to make the world a better place by offering programs that allow girls to explore their interests, develop their skills, and make lasting friendships. Girls can take part in activities like tree climbing, hiking, and environmental advocacy that will help them create positive change in their communities and beyond. With the help of adult mentors and millions of Girl Scout alumnae, the sky is the limit for these brave and confident girls.
Programs
The classes, camps and experiences this business offers.
Join a Troop
The groups of Girl Scouts who meet for activities and adventures are called Girl Scout troops. And once you find yours, you’ll never want to let them go. Why? Because these Girl Scouts and their families are going to become a circle of friendship like you’ve never had before. Your troop is a safe space where you can take risks, have fun, and be your true, unfiltered self.
Juliettes
Juliette Girl Scouts are registered girl members in grades K-12 who are busy, independent, self-confident girls and want to be a part of something larger- Girl Scouts! Meeting in troops is one way to be a part of Girl Scouts, but when troops aren’t available or a girl becomes too busy with extracurricular activities, becoming a Juliette will allow her to be a part of the Girl Scout experience on an individual basis.
Camps
Whether discovering the wildlife in your backyard, swimming in a lake for the first time at summer camp, or being a citizen scientist and observing bees in your neighborhood park, every outdoor adventure grows your “I’ve got this” attitude. And once you unlock that confidence, you’ll aim as high as the stars you see outside your cabin window.
Visit before you decide
See the space, meet the teachers, and get a feel for it — most businesses are happy to show families around.
