At Central Wisconsin Environmental Station (CWES), we are dedicated to providing a unique learning experience. Located 17 miles east of Stevens Point on glacial Sunset Lake, our 200-acre teaching and learning center has been an integral part of the University of Wisconsin - Stevens Point College of Natural Resources program since 1975. Our experienced natural resource and environmental educators provide a range of programs designed to foster in adults and youth an appreciation, understanding, and skill development regarding the environment, economy, and community. We are committed to helping all our guests gain the motivation needed to build a sustainable balance between the environment, economy, and community. Through our interactive programs, we strive to provide a meaningful learning experience for all ages in a safe and enjoyable environment. We offer a wide variety of programs to educate and inspire our guests, such as environmental science, outdoor exploration, and hands-on learning activities.
