About Camp Kostopulos in Salt Lake City, UT

Our mission is to provide access to quality recreational activities and educational programs that will promote a lifetime of learning and growth. We offer a wide range of programs, from traditional summer camp activities to specialized programs such as adaptive sports, art, music, and dance. We also provide opportunities for individuals to explore and develop their independence through community service projects and life skills training. Kostopulos Dream Foundation is committed to providing enriching experiences for people of all abilities. We strive to create a safe, welcoming environment where everyone can enjoy the benefits of recreation, education, and growth. Summer Camps

Camp K’s mission is dedicated to improving the quality of life for people with disabilities through recreation, education, and growth experiences. Our services are available to people of all abilities, levels of income, and place of residence. Our year-round programs are evidence-based, and designed by recreational therapists to foster independence by increasing self-esteem, confidence, physical fitness, communication skills, relationships, and other life and social skills.

Community-Based Programs

Community-Based Programs are offered from September through April. Activities are designed to foster skills for independence, in a fun and safe environment. Activities include: arts and crafts, music, culinary arts, bowling, snow adventures, holiday parties, themed mini-camps, dances, sporting events, trips to local sites of interest, and many other activities. Transportation is provided to all participants in these programs.

Equestrian Programs

Lessons are one-hour long, and teach fundamental aspects of good horsemanship. Educational components that may be covered may include but are not limited to: grooming, tacking, mounting, warm-up, riding instruction, cool-down, equine nutrition and husbandry. All lessons are provided in 4 sessions per calendar month.
