Tennessee, known to its friendly locals as TN, is like a giant, sun-drenched playground where the mountains tickle the clouds and the rivers wink at the sun. Here, the wildflowers bloom like a box of crayons spilled across an artist's sketchpad, and the forests rustle with whispers of adventure. It is a fairytale land where music notes float in the air as easily as butterflies, and the smell of barbeque is as common as the sight of kids playing. Speaking of play, the true heroes of this magical land are the kids, especially those who participate in Sportsfield activities. These are not your ordinary kids, oh no! They're super-kids, bursting with energy, their sneakers flashing like lightning bolts as they race across the fields. They possess the courage of lions, the speed of cheetahs, and the agility of squirrels. And they laugh! Oh, they laugh as if they have a tickle monster living in their bellies. Now, let me introduce you to their fearless leader, Coach Pogo Bumblejinks. Pogo, with his twinkling, mischievous eyes and a moustache that dances when he laughs, is as much a kid as any of them. He was once a world champion of hopscotch, a grandmaster of tag, and the undefeated king of 'Simon says.' With a whistle that can awaken a hibernating bear and a sense of humor as infectious as a giggle, Pogo leads these kids on the most incredible adventures in the Sportsfield. Together, on the sun-drenched fields of TN, they create a world of magical sports, a world where laughter is the cheer, teamwork is the strategy, and fun is the ultimate trophy. So, if you hear a thunder of giggles rolling across the hills of Tennessee, know that it's just another day in the colorful lives of our Sportsfield super-kids and their jolly leader, Pogo Bumblejinks.

For over 50 years, Frontier Camp has been dedicated to making disciples of Jesus by sharing God’s Word amidst the beauty of His creation. Since our founding in 1969, we’ve been licensed by the Texas Department of State Health Services and are proudly accredited by the American Camping Association. We’re also a member of the Christian Camping and Conference Association. Our mission is to use Christian camping and outdoor recreation as a means to support local churches in fulfilling the Great Commission—evangelizing people of all ages and discipling believers toward deeper maturity in Christ. Frontier Camp offers a dual ministry: during the summer, we host a 10-week youth camp, and throughout the rest of the year, we serve as a retreat facility for churches and like-minded religious organizations. Whether through summer camps or retreats, our goal remains the same: to expose people to Christ and encourage their spiritual growth through His Word and by reflecting His character in everything we do. While we provide top-notch recreation and exciting programming, the heart of our camp is the spiritual impact, rooted in the truth of God’s inerrant Word.

To make sure we provide the best possible experience for our campers, we take extreme care in selecting the right staff. Our team members must undergo a rigorous interview and training process to make sure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to lead our multi-activity areas – from the swimming pools to the climbing tower. Our staff are committed to giving our campers the opportunity to build relationships, collaborate in groups, and challenge themselves in a safe and supportive environment. By doing this, we can ensure that our campers are getting the most out of their time with us and that the skills they learn are ones that will stay with them for life.
