In the vibrant, music-filled state of Tennessee, nestled amidst the rolling hills and misty mountains, a band of young adventurers roams the terrain, exploring the wilderness with unparalleled enthusiasm. Known as the "Tennessee Tumbleweeds," they're a sprightly bunch, always eager to uncover the secrets of nature. Their leader, a mischievous raccoon named Banjo Bob, possesses a boundless knowledge of the outdoors and a harmonica that never leaves his side. Banjo Bob, with his glowing eyes and stripey tail, guides the Tumbleweeds through the Tennessee valleys, introducing them to the wondrous creatures of the forest. He shows them how to identify the magnificent oaks and the slender pines that tower above them. With his nifty little harmonica, he whips up impromptu tunes that mimic the whispers of the wind and the chirping of the crickets. The kids who belong to this group, the Tennessee Tumbleweeds, are an adventurous lot! They come from every corner of the state, from the bustling city of Nashville to the serene banks of the Tennessee River. Their laughter echoes across the valleys as they chase after lightning bugs, build forts out of fallen branches, and splash around in the cool, clear streams. Their curiosity is infectious, and their love for nature knows no bounds. With Banjo Bob leading their escapades, they never miss a chance to discover something new. Whether they're savoring the sweet flavors of wild blackberries or exchanging ghost stories under the starlit sky, every day is a new adventure. The Tennessee Tumbleweeds truly know how to turn the great outdoors into their own playground!

Nestled in 178 acres of lush woodland is a serene escape from the city, a place fondly known as Camp Swamp. This overnight Christian camp, located just two hours east of bustling Atlanta, has been serving as a peaceful retreat since 1992. We like to think of it as our own "little slice of heaven," offering a respite from the daily hustle and bustle, and inviting people to reconnect with nature and their spirituality. Our primary offering is a week-long summer camp, but we've expanded over the years to include more than just summer fun. As part of our mission to support families and churches, we now also host three family camps throughout the year, as well as four parent/child retreats. These events offer a chance for families to bond, parents to connect with their children, and individuals to grow in their faith. Moreover, our facilities are not exclusive to our organized events. Camp Swamp also offers rentals to schools, churches, universities, sports teams, and even business groups. Whether you're planning a camp, a retreat, or a team-building excursion, our serene setting and well-equipped facilities provide the ideal backdrop for an unforgettable experience.
To make sure we provide the best possible experience for our campers, we take extreme care in selecting the right staff. Our team members must undergo a rigorous interview and training process to make sure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to lead our multi-activity areas – from the swimming pools to the climbing tower. Our staff are committed to giving our campers the opportunity to build relationships, collaborate in groups, and challenge themselves in a safe and supportive environment. By doing this, we can ensure that our campers are getting the most out of their time with us and that the skills they learn are ones that will stay with them for life.
