Through its partnership with the Spartanburg County School District, the Philharmonic strives to provide access to music and performance opportunities to all students regardless of economic status. The Spartanburg Philharmonic is passionate about creating innovative experiences that bring music to life. As a champion of diversity and inclusion, it proudly presents traditional works alongside lesser-known and rarely played works by female composers, composers of color, established and contemporary composers. It also provides beginning and advanced musical training for instrumental students in the area, with coaching sessions, sectionals, and weekly rehearsals available for students in grades 6-12. Additionally, the Philharmonic has partnered with the Spartanburg County School District to provide access to music and performance opportunities to all students regardless of economic status. Through these programs, the Philharmonic is dedicated to enriching, inspiring, and educating the Spartanburg community and beyond.
