Deep within the verdant landscapes of South Carolina, where the rivers flow like ribbons of blue silk and the trees whisper tales of old, there's a little town known for its obsession with a peculiar kind of game. Folks here call it Gaga Ball. This isn't your everyday tag, or dodgeball or even soccer. Oh no, this is the legendary game of Gaga Ball, a thrilling sport that sets the hearts of children aflame with excitement and giddiness! The children of SC, with their sun-kissed skin and twinkling eyes, are as wild and free as the wind that rustles the palmetto trees. In fact, there’s a legend amongst them about the great Wobblin' Whippersnapper, a giggling, jiggling creature who supposedly invented Gaga Ball. With one long, bouncy leg, one short stubby one, and a knack for bouncing around like a rubber ball, this character was said to be as hilarious as he was agile. "Watch out for the Whippersnapper's bounce!" The kids would cry out, their laughter echoing through the parks and playgrounds as they played their beloved game. Their tiny hands gripping the foamy Gaga Ball, they would bounce, duck, and dodge like mini Whippersnappers, their giggles and shouts a testament to the joy and camaraderie the game brought them. Whether or not the Wobblin' Whippersnapper is real, we can't tell for sure. But one thing is certain, in the heart of South Carolina, the spirit of the Whippersnapper lives on in the bright, happy faces of the children who play Gaga Ball. They tumble around, laughing and cheering, their hearts filled with the pure joy of play, their spirits as wild and free as the beautiful state they call home.

At Taylor's First Baptist Church, we believe that it is important to nurture and strengthen our members, so that they are equipped to have a deeper and more meaningful relationship with God and to share the Gospel with the world. We are firmly rooted in the teachings of the Bible and strive to stay true to its fundamental messages. Recently, the disciples of Jesus were invited to join him on a mountain in Galilee. When they arrived, they were filled with awe and reverence, yet some were filled with doubt. Jesus then proclaimed, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me.” At Taylor's First Baptist Church, we strive to help our members find the courage to face their doubts and worship Jesus with all their hearts. We seek to provide a space where our members can find comfort in knowing that Jesus is the one and only authority, and that He is always with us.
