Providing your child with a stimulating, creative education is the key to a successful and fulfilling life. At our art school, we prepare kids for the Charleston County School of the Arts (SOA) and Cario. We strongly advise that your child enrolls in our art classes for 1-2 years prior to applying for SOA or Cario to ensure they are well-prepared with their art portfolio, skills and presentation. All of the artwork created by our students is 100% unique and original; we never alter or embellish their work. A large proportion of our students have been accepted into SOA and Cario and we are proud of their achievements. 

At our art school, we believe that every child deserves the opportunity to receive the best education possible. We specialize in preparing kids for the Charleston County School of the Arts (SOA) and Cario. To ensure your child is ready to apply for either of these schools, we recommend they take art classes with us for 1-2 years beforehand. All of the artwork created by our students is authentic and original; we never modify or enhance their work. We are delighted to report that a considerable number of our students have been accepted into SOA and Cario and we are thrilled to have been part of their journey.

Art Connects Us specializes in healing through art therapy for people of all ages. Creating art connects us to the world and to ourselves while providing a release which is therapeutically beneficial, both emotionally and spiritually. At Art Connects we demonstrate how hands-on creation of art provides students and clientele the enormous benefits of a gentle, accessible, yet very effective but unintimidating therapy. We offer art therapy services and art education for all ages, children and adults, in the Charleston, SC area.

Art Therapy for Adults and Children

Classes including painting, sculpture, drawing, comics and more. Art Connects Us offers children’s art classes and adult art classes. During our regular semesters, classes are limited to five students or less to ensure personalized attention is provided to each and every participant. As one of the finest art schools in the area, we are proud to deliver hands-on learning for students of all ages and experience levels. This is no “cookie-cutter” school where class members copy an instructor’s work. We are professional artists nurturing our students with the fundamentals while guiding them as they pursue individual interests in drawing, painting, pastels, sculpture, children’s books, comics and more.

We offer art education for toddlers, children, teens, and adults founded on the basics while ensuring age and interest appropriate projects are provided for everyone. Immersion in art cultivates self-knowledge and expression so new ways of communicating are discovered and developed. We are pleased to be a part of the unique journey each of our students will take into personal expression and self-realization.

Art therapy is effective for emotional release and helps eliminate blocks that can hinder the realization of inner peace, happiness and a path to more authentic living.
