Eden Farms is the perfect spot for horse lovers in Upstate, SC. Just a short drive from Greenville, SC, this family-owned horse stable offers horse boarding, lessons, and trail rides on 160 acres of rolling fields and trails in the beautiful mountains. Plus, the barn includes 40 stalls, tack rooms, and office and event space, making it the perfect spot for birthday parties and special events. 

At Eden Farms, they also host seasonal events around the holidays to benefit Happy Hooves Therapeutic Equestrian Center. This non-profit organization provides horse-centered programs for special needs children and adults, as well as at-risk children and teens. Participants of the program develop an exceptionally rewarding relationship with the horses, which can benefit mind, body, and spirit. All proceeds from Eden Farms go to support the Happy Hooves program, and you can even make a donation right from the farm.

Eden Farms is the proud home of Happy Hooves Therapeutic Equestrian Center, where special needs individuals and at-risk children can benefit from the therapeutic power of horses in a safe, supportive environment. The horses provide a unique opportunity for these individuals to build meaningful relationships with the animals, and for the participants to learn about responsibility and respect. Thanks to the generosity of Eden Farms donors, the Happy Hooves program can continue to provide these services to those who need them most.

Spend an hour of hands-on horse time with an Eden Farms staff member and one of our lovable horses or ponies!  We will go over horse safety rules, help your child brush and saddle their horse, and then spend the majority of their time riding in one of our three arenas.  We will play games with your child to help them learn to stay balanced, steer, and control their horse. We finish up our arena rides by heading back into the barn for untacking, grooming, and giving the horse a treat! This is a great “Horse 101” experience and a good way to test the waters to see if you are considering if weekly instructional lessons are right for your child. Arena rides are $80 per horse and are scheduled year-round by appointment, rain or shine. Ages 2 years old and up are welcome!

Arena Ride

Join us for a hands-on horse experience filled with: An hour-long horseback riding lesson or trail ride Equine Assisted Learning about life on a working horse farm including healthcare, grooming & saddling, equine anatomy, feeding, and more!  A horse-themed craft, Bible study, snack, and time to play on our newly renovated playground! Children will spend the majority of their time outside. 

Homeschool at the Barn

 Camp includes a daily riding lesson or trail ride, and educational horse activities like grooming, saddling, horse safety, healthcare, and feeding. Campers will also enjoy horsey arts and crafts, a Bible devotional, and a snack. Children are divided according to age and ability and will ride one of our lesson horses. Children from 6 to 14 years of age are welcome!
