The First Tee of the Upstate and Coastal Carolinas is dedicated to empowering the lives of young people. Through their innovative integration of golf and life skills curriculum, children are gaining the inner strength, self-confidence and resilience necessary for facing new challenges. The First Tee of the Upstate and Coastal Carolinas is qualified to provide young people with the tools to build strong character and make healthy life choices. Through the game of golf and other character-building activities, the organization strives to instill important values and foster self-confidence. This organization is dedicated to helping young people build character and inner strength that will lead them through a lifetime of new challenges.

This is the introductory level of The First Tee Life Skills Experience for children ages 7-9 years old.   This level teaches participants how to play the game of golf with special emphasis on learning golf, The First Tee Code of Conduct, and The First Tee Nine Core Values™.  These interpersonal and self-management skills will help out participants develop much more than their golf games.

7-9 Age Level Classes

This Level introduces participants to life skills that will help them both on and off the golf course.  The main focus of this level is to assist participants in acquiring several self-management techniques and interpersonal skills that will help them in managing their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors to perform at their best both on and off the golf course.

10-11 Age Level Classes

Of all of the life skills addressed in The First Tee Life Skills Experience, goal setting is one of the most important.  This level allows participants to learn how to set and pursue their own goals.  This will provide participants with a greater sense of purpose, direction, and motivation in their lives.

We had a great time with First Tee at Willow Creek this summer. We'd like to see First Tee relocate to a location closer to District 5, such as River Falls. Many other junior golfers, I believe, would like to participate more closely as well. Thank you for a fantastic summer on the course!
