About Audubon Society of Rhode Island School Programs in Bristol, RI

Audubon is dedicated to bringing science education to children of all ages. Our educators create high-quality, hands-on learning experiences for students in classrooms, at our Nature Center and Aquarium in Bristol, and in our wildlife refuges. We also offer after-school programs and summer science enrichment programs to engage and inspire your child. Parents can also take advantage of Audubon's public workshops, walks, and activities for adults, families, homeschoolers, preschoolers, and toddlers. Life Science Programs

In a natural outdoor area or the indoor classroom, these one-hour programs are designed to support your science curriculum and align with the Next Generation Science Standards. Programs include inquiry-based activities that are grade-level appropriate. Live animals accompany all programs.

Raptor Encounters

This presentation for large audiences showcases the lives of owls and hawks. Through demonstrations, photographs, and biofacts, students learn how the structure and functions of these birds help them survive. Predator/prey dynamics and the importance of habitat are emphasized as well. Audubon will bring two or three live birds of prey to your school, library, or event for an exciting and educational experience.
