Public Walk-Ins

Take your family to see the largest collection of New England marine life in the world! From native species to tropical strays, everything we have can be found right in our own waters. We hold various demonstrations throughout the day on Saturdays, Sundays, school vacation days, and every day during the summer, and are always on hand if there is anything you'd like to know.

School

Come see over one hundred different species of locally collected marine animals and rescued reptiles in over 80 exhibits. Our exhibits are close-up and intimate displays, with lots of hands-on interactions and petting tanks. Touch tanks include sharks, stingrays, tortoises, horseshoe crabs, tide pool animals and more. Students also learn about a variety of topics such as adaptations, feeding behaviors, habitats and more. All school visits to us are private and are held in the morning before we open to the public.

Scouts and 4-H

Scouts and 4-H members can come explore the many animals at the center with their families, clubs or troops during public walk-in hours, special ‘scout nights’, or scheduled field trips. Biomes staff can work with groups to design programs and activities to specifically meet loop, badge, pin and project requirements.
