Once upon a time, in the tiny, yet mighty state of Rhode Island, a lively bunch of kids from every corner of the state gathered together. Their mission? To sing! This wasn't your average bathroom shower echo, no siree bob. They were the warriors of woop-de-doos, the knights of note bending, and the sultans of sweet rhythms. These kids had the power to make the birds stop their tweeting, and the trees bow in silent respect, all with the power of their voices. Meet Sir Giggles-a-lot, the imaginary mascot of this bunch. He was as big as the state's tallest lighthouse, with a belly like a bouncing beach ball, that jiggled when he laughed. His laughter was said to be as infectious as a catchy tune. The children loved Sir Giggles-a-lot as much as they loved singing. He had the magical ability to make every note funnier and more enjoyable! Rhode Island, although the smallest state in America, boasted the biggest heart when it came to music. It was a place where kids couldn't just sing, but where they could transform their melodies into vibrant colors that painted the state. And oh boy, did they sing! From Pawtucket to Newport, from dawn till dusk, their sweet voices echoed across the Narragansett Bay, wrapping the state in a blanket of beautiful harmony. Whether they were singing at the top of their lungs on Block Island's sandy beaches or humming a soft tune in the quiet corners of the Providence Athenaeum, these kids were the true melody masters of Rhode Island. And with Sir Giggles-a-lot by their side, they were ready to face any off-key obstacle that came their way. Because in Rhode Island, you don't need to be big, to sing big!

For over 50 years, Frontier Camp has been dedicated to making disciples of Jesus by sharing God’s Word amidst the beauty of His creation. Since our founding in 1969, we’ve been licensed by the Texas Department of State Health Services and are proudly accredited by the American Camping Association. We’re also a member of the Christian Camping and Conference Association. Our mission is to use Christian camping and outdoor recreation as a means to support local churches in fulfilling the Great Commission—evangelizing people of all ages and discipling believers toward deeper maturity in Christ. Frontier Camp offers a dual ministry: during the summer, we host a 10-week youth camp, and throughout the rest of the year, we serve as a retreat facility for churches and like-minded religious organizations. Whether through summer camps or retreats, our goal remains the same: to expose people to Christ and encourage their spiritual growth through His Word and by reflecting His character in everything we do. While we provide top-notch recreation and exciting programming, the heart of our camp is the spiritual impact, rooted in the truth of God’s inerrant Word.
