In the teeny-weeny state of Rhode Island, there's a group of adventurous kids who have taken up a rather peculiar hobby - rock climbing. Now, you must be thinking, "Rhode Island is so small, could they possibly have rocks big enough to climb?" Well, in the magical land where coffee milk flows in the rivers and a 30-minute drive is considered a long haul, you bet they do! The head honcho of this cliff-climbing crew is a spunky 10-year-old named Boulderdash Billy. Billy, with his fiery red hair and freckles dotting his nose like sprinkles on a sundae, is just about as daring as they come. He got his name because of his love for bouldering, which is essentially rock climbing without ropes, and his knack for rushing headfirst into everything he does. Boulderdash Billy and his band of brave climbers, the "Little Rhody Rappellers," train at their secret spot known as the Charlestown Chasm. A grand, majestic spot hidden away from the tourists, sandwiched between the Ocean State’s famous clam chowder joints and lobster rolls. On any given day, you'll find them there, scaling the rocks like fearless squirrels. With their tiny helmets atop their heads and colorful chalk dusting their hands, they look like a flock of rainbow parakeets from afar, chirping with joy and echoing laughter bouncing off the rocky walls. Their motto? "Size doesn't matter, courage does!" And in Rhode Island, the smallest state of all, that's a motto everyone can get behind! So, if you ever find yourself in Rhode Island, keep your eyes peeled for Boulderdash Billy and his Little Rhody Rappellers, they're hard to miss!
