About Mason Dance Center, Inc in Mason, OH

Mason Dance Center is committed to providing its students with a great facility. Our spacious facility has a large lobby with CCTV for viewing and 4 dance rooms. All of our dance rooms have special "floating" wood floors. Constructed of two layers of plywood, laid out perpendicular to each other, the underside of each 4x8 sheet has 32 Robbins Bio-Pads so that the wood floats above the base floor and has the resiliency needed to help prevent injury and fatigue in our students and staff. In Room A and D, the wood layers are topped with Harlequin flooring. Room C has a top layer of Timberfloor from EFS, a beautiful wood-look flooring. Room B has Adagio flooring from Rosco. This upper layer flooring, designed specifically for dancing, provides a good, slip-resistant surface.

BeAKid
predance combo classes

Our PreDance Combo Classes are for our youngest students, ages 3-6. These are a combination of pre-ballet and creative movement in Tippy Toes; pre-ballet, pre-tap, and some basic acro in Kidlets and Kidance. Kintergarten students may also choose Hippity-hop or Musical Theater Minis. 1st-2nd-3rd graders move to our Minis or Petites classes in Ballet, Tap, Jazz along with Hippity-hop or Musical Theater Petites.

open division classes

We offer Open classes in ballet, tap, jazz, acro-dance, lyrical and hip-hop. Dancers are placed in class according to age, ability and previous training level. Teacher evaluation will determine student's level and placement. Age requirements for Open classes vary as noted on our schedule but basically are for students first grade through adult.

mini camps & mini-mesters

Throughout the main session we try to offer a variety of one day mix & match mini-camps for dancers 4-8 yrs. We also have a few mini-mesters in the winter or spring.
