Private Lessons

Making Waves Swim School approaches child swimming lessons through progressive swim skills. This means that Making Waves Swim School starts from the very basics and then, building on skills similar to the concept of building blocks, introduces new skills as previous ones are mastered. Children are taught personal safety in the water, water orientation, and stroke development, and, if requested, basic rescue concepts. Instruction is delivered in a private atmosphere with caring instructors who deliver a student-centered approach. This approach provides each child with lessons that are developmentally appropriate for both the age and the cognitive ability of the student. The goal is not only to teach your child how to swim, but to generate a life-long interest in aquatics as a whole, creating confidence and good decision-making skills.

Sibling Lessons

Learning with a sibling can be fun and exciting! Making Waves Swim School can accommodate a shared siblings lesson for swimmers ages five and older, with no more than a three year age gap between students. Students must also be at comparable swim ability to share. Please note that no more than two siblings may share one single lesson.

Toddler 20

Making Waves is proud to offer lessons for our tiniest swimmers! We offer lessons in 20 minute intervals for swimmers under 24 months of age. Lessons are private, one to one lessons, where your toddler will learn water acclimation and safety while having FUN in the pool! Parents/guardians always remain right on the pool deck, so you will be able to observe your swimmer’s lesson and progress throughout their session.
