Age group

Budo Kai Traditional Karate & Fitness has been located in River Edge since 1982. We teach Goju Ryu Karate for Beginner through Advanced level students from ages 5 and up. Adult, Teen, and Children's classes are offered. Each is structured in an exciting and challenging way.

The Dojo is designed in a traditional manner. All classes are held on a suspended maple wood training floor. In addition, the dojo offers a variety of impact/striking equipment, heavy bags, speed bags, full length mirrors, and tatami style training mats.

Inexpensive

Junior Karate: Ages 5-10. Serious learning is mixed with genuine fun. Students explore the art in a safe and controlled atmosphere. Classes meet three times per week.



Junior Karate

Teen Karate: Ages 11-15. Our Teen Program offers a balanced mixture of Junior and Adult class training methods specifically geared toward young adults. Classes meet three times a week..



Teen Karate

Adult Karate: Whether your interest is self defense, fitness, stress  reduction, or any of the other numerous benefits of Karate training,  you'll find our classes rewarding. Classes are available day and  evening.

We put forth a lot of effort, we treat one another with respect, and we study the art of karate from a dedicated Sensei who instructs each class with the same fervor. I wouldn't practice elsewhere.
