Let me introduce you to the glitter-dusted, paint-splattered state of New Jersey, a land brimming with colors so vibrant, it makes even the rainbow look like a black and white rerun! The Garden State, as it's fondly called, is a canvas to countless kids who love to dive headfirst into the flamboyant world of Arts & Crafts. Meet our imaginary character, Doodle McDazzle, a funny, googly-eyed, paintbrush-wielding critter, who hops around the city, leaving a trail of creativity wherever he goes. Doodle lives in the bustling heart of New Jersey, in a house made of Popsicle sticks, pipe cleaners, and a roof of felt paper. In the morning, he brushes his teeth with glitter toothpaste, uses a comb made of colored pencils, and eats a breakfast of crayon croissants! The children of New Jersey are just as creative as Doodle McDazzle. Armed with tubes of glue, paint pots, and a limitless imagination, they are little wizards, transforming everyday objects into magnificent art. They can turn a simple rock into a cuddly pet, a toilet paper roll into a super telescope, or even a shoebox into a spectacular spaceship! The spirit of New Jersey thrives in these young artists, their hands as busy as honey bees, their minds buzzing with creative energy. They paint the town, quite literally, with their imagination, their laughter echoing in the air. For they believe, as Doodle McDazzle often says, "Art and Crafts isn’t just about making things, it's about making things FUN!" And that's the colorful, crafty, and wonderfully wacky world of Art & Crafts in New Jersey!

Little Brushes paint parties in Morristown are tons of fun for kids, and easy breezy for parents. We plan the activities, and take care of setup and cleanup for you. Art supplies are ready and waiting when you arrive – including aprons to help protect clothing. All you need to bring are the kids and the food. (We even provide plates and utensils.) Kids don't need any artistic skills to have fun and paint at Pinot's Palette. Experienced instructors guide them step by step through the painting, based on the ages and skill levels of the group. The painting process is closely guided and well-structured, while giving kids the wiggle room they need to be kids. We love letting them express their creativity! Kids can change colors, patterns or other details to make the painting their own. And of course, everyone goes home with the coolest party favor ever: their very own masterpiece to remind them of all the fun they had.

Macculloch Hall Historical Museum (MHHM) is a unique museum located in the heart of Morristown's National Historic District. George and Louisa Macculloch, who emigrated from London, England to New York City in 1806, purchased 26 acres and a one-story stone bank house from General John Doughty in 1810. The couple constructed a Federal style brick mansion, the first significant brick structure in the area, in 1810 and added onto it in 1812 and 1819 as their family's influence in local, state, and national history increased. Five generations of the Macculloch-Miller-Post family lived in the house, which was later renamed Macculloch Avenue, until 1949 when it was sold to W. Parsons Todd. Todd dedicated himself to preserving the nationally recognized structure and building a fine and decorative arts collection and historic archive, and in 1950 he incorporated the house into a museum for public benefit. Today, MHHM provides a window into the past with its well-preserved rooms and galleries. It offers a diverse and ever-changing range of exhibitions, educational programs, and public events that are enjoyed by thousands of visitors annually. Whether you are a history buff or just looking for something fun to do, MHHM is a great destination for everyone.
