Once upon a time, in the bright and bustling state of New Jersey, a group of kids embarked on a series of magical field trips. This wasn't your average state, oh no, New Jersey was a land brimming with enchanted forests, talking animals, and secret doorways hidden in the most unexpected places. These kids weren't just any kids either; they were the most adventurous, curious, and fun-loving children you could ever meet. "The New Jersey Field Trip Gang," as they called themselves, was led by a most peculiar guide - a talking squirrel named Nutty McAcorn. Nutty, with his bushy tail and oversized acorn hat, had a knack for making every trip an extraordinary adventure. He had a map, not just any map, but a magical one that could teleport the gang to any hotspot in New Jersey. Lighthouses, museums, parks, farms, factories, you name it - they were all just a magic map flip away. Each morning, the kids would gather in the schoolyard, their faces bright with excitement. Today, would it be a trip to the historic Thomas Edison National Historical Park to chat with a slightly grumpy, but genius pigeon pretending to be Thomas Edison? Or perhaps a journey to the Adventure Aquarium to have a hearty laugh with the jesters of the sea, the clownfish? With Nutty McAcorn leading the way, every day was a new adventure. The laughter and chatter of the New Jersey Field Trip Gang echoed throughout the state, their tales of adventure becoming the stuff of legends. These weren’t just field trips; they were journeys into the heart of joy, friendship, and boundless imagination. And one thing was certain in the state of New Jersey - there was never a dull moment with Nutty McAcorn and the Field Trip Gang!

Macculloch Hall Historical Museum (MHHM) is a unique museum located in the heart of Morristown's National Historic District. George and Louisa Macculloch, who emigrated from London, England to New York City in 1806, purchased 26 acres and a one-story stone bank house from General John Doughty in 1810. The couple constructed a Federal style brick mansion, the first significant brick structure in the area, in 1810 and added onto it in 1812 and 1819 as their family's influence in local, state, and national history increased. Five generations of the Macculloch-Miller-Post family lived in the house, which was later renamed Macculloch Avenue, until 1949 when it was sold to W. Parsons Todd. Todd dedicated himself to preserving the nationally recognized structure and building a fine and decorative arts collection and historic archive, and in 1950 he incorporated the house into a museum for public benefit. Today, MHHM provides a window into the past with its well-preserved rooms and galleries. It offers a diverse and ever-changing range of exhibitions, educational programs, and public events that are enjoyed by thousands of visitors annually. Whether you are a history buff or just looking for something fun to do, MHHM is a great destination for everyone.
