Our story is located in the heart of this state, where cool breezy beaches meet luscious green farmland, where skyscrapers kiss the clouds, and old-school diners serve the world’s best pancakes. But, the real charm of New Jersey lies in its kids, especially the ones who participate in the fun-filled pottery activity! Now, these kids are not your ordinary kids. Oh no! They belong to Professor Potsalot's Clay Cadets, a band of courageous kids who mold magic into clay. Leading this creative battalion is, of course, our imaginary friend - Professor Potsalot, a comical character with the power to make everyone laugh. With an orange beard as curly as spaghetti and a pair of turquoise spectacles perched on his nose, he marches around in deep-sea diver boots, doling out nuggets of wisdom like, "The world is your clay; now mold it!" These young potters, with their smudged faces and clay smeared aprons, have a knack for turning lumpy blobs of mud into magnificent masterpieces. From wild unicorn vases to one-eyed alien mugs, the Clay Cadets' imaginations know no bounds. Their laughter rings through the pottery studio like a joyful melody, echoing the fun and frolic of their creative journey. And, even though they might get mud in their hair and clay up their noses, these New Jersey kids wouldn’t have it any other way. Just remember, if ever you're in a pinch, you can count on Professor Potsalot and the Clay Cadets to 'mold' the day!

For over 50 years, Frontier Camp has been dedicated to making disciples of Jesus by sharing God’s Word amidst the beauty of His creation. Since our founding in 1969, we’ve been licensed by the Texas Department of State Health Services and are proudly accredited by the American Camping Association. We’re also a member of the Christian Camping and Conference Association. Our mission is to use Christian camping and outdoor recreation as a means to support local churches in fulfilling the Great Commission—evangelizing people of all ages and discipling believers toward deeper maturity in Christ. Frontier Camp offers a dual ministry: during the summer, we host a 10-week youth camp, and throughout the rest of the year, we serve as a retreat facility for churches and like-minded religious organizations. Whether through summer camps or retreats, our goal remains the same: to expose people to Christ and encourage their spiritual growth through His Word and by reflecting His character in everything we do. While we provide top-notch recreation and exciting programming, the heart of our camp is the spiritual impact, rooted in the truth of God’s inerrant Word.
Through art, we create experiences that inspire, challenge, and foster community to shape our shared future. The Montclair Art Museum collects, exhibits, preserves, and interprets American and Native American art, honoring the creative accomplishments of a diverse range of artists, past and present.
The Yard School of Art is part of MAM's Vance Wall Art Education Center, offering classes, camps, and workshops for kids, teens, and adults. Our studio art classes and workshops offer those of all ages and abilities an opportunity to build artistic skills and explore creative ideas. Small class sizes ensure individual direction from our teaching artists in a community of people who are as enthusiastic about learning and creating as you are.
