We've spent over 30 years building a warm, supportive, culturally rich community where children of all ages and levels can find friendship, build confidence, and develop skills they will use for a lifetime. Based in Maplewood New Jersey, we serve students from Essex, Morris, and Union Counties, and elsewhere throughout the state.

Beginning Guitar Lessons
PTW is the perfect place to take beginning guitar lessons. Our warm nurturing environment is ideal for building confidence on your new instrument. PTW’s beginning guitar lessons consist of an overview of all open guitar chords, learning strumming patterns, and a music theory-based approach to scales and arpeggios as they are on the guitar. All guitar lessons are catered to each individual student, focused on their specific strengths and their opportunities for growth.
Ballet/Modern Dance Classes For Tweens & Teens
PTW's Ballet/Modern Dance Classes For Tweens & Teens will develop the students knowledge of the basic dance positions of the feet, arms and body. It will build upon the foundation with the integration of more advanced steps and challenging combinations. The student will also be expected to learn accurate dance vocabulary. Exercises at the barre, in the centre and traveling across the floor will develop the student's coordination, strength, flexibility, and alignment while exploring the artistry of dance through expression, musicality and phrasing. Ballet/Modern Dance Classes will also aid students in college auditions, school musical auditions, and professional auditions.
Combination Classes: Acting & Singing
PTW offers Song Interpretation classes to every age group and level of experience. These Song Interpretation classes include training in finding clues provided in the music and lyrics of a song to interpret material, then teaches acting techniques and methods for turning that interpretation into an authentic, meaningful and vital performance. The Song Interpretation classes cover a wide range of musical theatre repertoire ranging from classic musicals of the 30’s and 40’s through to contemporary musical theatre.
