About US Gymnastics Leonia

U.S. Gymnastics Development Center is owned and operated by Michele and João Ribeiro. João was a member of the 1980 Brazilian Gymnastic Olympic Team. Michele has a Bachelors Degree in Accounting and has been a successful business owner since 1988. We are located in Leonia, NJ, the heart of Bergen County! We are just a few miles from the George Washington Bridge. We believe that gymnastics is a stepping stone to every sport. It focuses on strength, balance, flexibility, coordination, determination, and self-confidence. Since 1988, we have been helping children achieve their goals and reach their potential through gymnastics, in a fun and safe environment.

Mommy & Me

Children will participate in fun games that challenge their sensory needs and social skills. Mommy & Me classes include Dads or caregivers. Your child will participate in circuit courses, swing from the rings, learn their first rolls and bounce on our trampoline.

AGE GROUP CLASSES

Our age group classes are grouped by boys or girls based on their age. In these classes, children have the opportunity to utilize all of our gymnastics equipment in a rotated schedule. As the children progress through our very own Skill Progression Program, they are challenged to improve themselves class by class, but are also allowed to progress at their own pace.

Tumbling CLASSES

Our one-hour tumbling classes are open to anyone (ages 5+) interested in learning new skills or perfecting old ones! This specialized class is designed to meet each students' tumbling needs. All levels are welcomed and no experience is necessary!
