At Around the Corner Art Center, it’s time to get creative! With custom framing, pottery painting, workshops, art supplies, birthday parties, and classes, we’ve got you covered. Our full-time staff of professionals and working artists serve as teachers all year round, offering classes in a variety of media for ages 5 to 105. From watercolor and paint to pencil and clay, you’ll find something you love. Plus, we offer art camps all summer long for the kids! So if you’re looking to experience a new art form or hone your skills, we’ve got the perfect place for you. In this class, your child will be introduced to basic art techniques, which are the building blocks that will provide a solid foundation for future art lovers and artists. Children will explore the great world are art using oil pastels, clay, paper and paint. This unique learning experience places an emphasis on having fun while exploring creativity! 

Kid's Art 

Students enrolled in this class will learn the basics of drawing cartoons and superheroes. The step-by-step instruction in this class will teach the students valuable lessons in how to draw, and give them the tools to begin to draw their own characters! 

Little Tikes Cartooning 

Children will explore the world of both two and three dimensional media, such as pencil, colored pencil, acrylic paint and clay. Students will learn by following the teacher in a step-by-step method that allows the child to see projects take shape from beginning to end. 

Multi-Media Art  

In this class, children are all welcome to learn and create amazing ceramics of their own. This class will incorporate both the pottery wheel and traditional clay building techniques to create a variety of pieces with guidance from the instructor, a pottery expert.
