About The Glass Slippers Dance Studio in Emerson, NJ
At Glass Slippers Dance Studio, we strive to provide a nurturing and inspiring environment for our students. Since 2013, our Director, Kristin Mazon, has been at the helm, leading the way with her degree in Education from Seton Hall University and her teaching experience from Amarilys’ Academy of Dance Arts. Our classes are kept small so we can ensure each student receives the individual attention and instruction they need.
Glass Slippers Dance Studio offers a wide range of classes for both kids and adults. Our classes are designed to incorporate educational principals and teaching methods, and our faculty have university degrees in both education and dance. To ensure our students’ safety, our facility is equipped with a specially designed sprung dance floor that provides the necessary resiliency to avoid injury to the spine, knees, and other parts of the body.
For convenience, our studio provides ample parking and a waiting area for parents. We pride ourselves on being a family and not just a studio, and we look forward to enriching the lives of our students through dance.

Ballet
Ballet requires strength and patience because of its difficult technical elements. Taking years to develop, the body is set in various positions and poses which require flexibility in the back, legs, rib cage, and feet. Dedication to the study over an extended period of time will increase fluidity, grace, and technique among other important elements of dance. Body placement, flexibility, alignment, strength and technique are achieved through barre and center floor work.
