We believe everyone should be safe and confident in the water, and that everyone should have at minimum an intermediate level of swimming ability. We understand that many different factors are necessary to create an effective learning environment that allows everyone to achieve this goal. Get a couple right, and others wrong, and it doesn't work. A cute swim school is great, but if a teacher isn't good, what's the point? We pride ourselves on building a team that multi-tasks, creating a holistic, effective learning environment for all ages, levels and abilities.
Private lessons typically produce quick progress in students due to a combination of customized instruction and maximum practice time. Compared to a typical group class, students build confidence faster and gain water independence sooner. All of this gives peace of mind, and more time to enjoy skills, especially since New Jersey has limited warm weather. With our flexible scheduling and many available times, students can take multiple lessons per week. Although private lessons cost more up front, they're often a better value as they save money long term. Most importantly, students are simply safer sooner.

Caregiver & Baby Classes
Set your child up for a lifetime of safety, fun and fitness by introducing your baby to the water early and safely. Our Baby Explorer class is a gentle water acclimation class designed specially for caregivers and babies 6-18 months. Learn how to safely support and hold the littlest ones, and how to prepare and encourage them to try skills. Focus is on general water safety, learning how to avoid accidental water entries, and developing comfort and confidence for both baby and guardian. Songs and colorful water toys make the class fun and encourage babies to try skills. Our Baby Explorer class creates a memorable experience to share with a child. There are no forceful submersions - each guardian/child pair will learn at their own a pace. Teachers provide a review of the confusing array of floatation devices so that parents can choose the appropriate one for their child at the different stages of learning, and how and when to use them. Fee includes one guardian and one baby, and follows the private lesson fees. There is a surcharge for second guardian in the water.

Rituals, routines and special equipment are just some of the methods our teachers use to help students be safe and learn to swim. We believe everyone deserves the lifelong skill of enjoying an aquatic environment.
