Under the direction of the highly qualified Cathy Bernard and her experienced faculty, The Dancing Corner strives to provide Southern New Hampshire with the best dance instruction available. We offer a wide variety of classes that include Classical Ballet, Jazz, Hip Hop, Tap, and Modern Dance for the serious student. We also have introductory classes for young children and recreational classes for adults.

At The Dancing Corner, we are committed to helping each individual develop their potential while increasing their love of dance. We encourage our dancers to challenge themselves and to be part of a larger community. Through our community service opportunities, dancers gain a sense of compassion and a better understanding of how to be a caring adult.

The Pre-Dance program for young children is designed to introduce our younger students to the different styles of dance that we offer in our regular dance program. All Pre-Dance classes include ballet, tap and jazz. Children seven and older should enroll in the regular dance program unless they are not socially or emotionally mature enough. Pre-Dance III should be considered in that case.

Pre-Dance

The foundation of all dance forms. Body placement, flexibility, alignment, strength and technique are achieved through barre and center floor work based on the Legat System, Cecchetti Syllabi, Vaganova Technique and a variety of other techniques. Ballet III/IV classes will include optional Pointe work.

BALLET

Musical Theatre teaches the basic principles of Broadway dance styles, acting and mime skills. The class will learn about and incorporate music from selected Broadway musicals.

The Dancing Corner

For my daughters, The Dancing Corner has been the ideal place.
The studio is small, non-competitive, and family-oriented, and it offers dancers extra performance possibilities through volunteer work.
