These youngsters, armed with their binoculars and unyielding curiosity, have a magical bond with nature, nurtured by their wise, goofy friend, Frogleton. For over 50 years, Frontier Camp has been dedicated to making disciples of Jesus by sharing God’s Word amidst the beauty of His creation. Since our founding in 1969, we’ve been licensed by the Texas Department of State Health Services and are proudly accredited by the American Camping Association. We’re also a member of the Christian Camping and Conference Association. Our mission is to use Christian camping and outdoor recreation as a means to support local churches in fulfilling the Great Commission—evangelizing people of all ages and discipling believers toward deeper maturity in Christ. Frontier Camp offers a dual ministry: during the summer, we host a 10-week youth camp, and throughout the rest of the year, we serve as a retreat facility for churches and like-minded religious organizations. Whether through summer camps or retreats, our goal remains the same: to expose people to Christ and encourage their spiritual growth through His Word and by reflecting His character in everything we do. While we provide top-notch recreation and exciting programming, the heart of our camp is the spiritual impact, rooted in the truth of God’s inerrant Word.
Reverend Donald Browne had a dream to create a special place on the mountainside between Greenfield and Peterborough, New Hampshire. He named it Brantwood Camp, after the famous hillside home of the same name in England's Lake District, which he had visited in 1900. At Brantwood Camp, we strive to develop strong moral character and confidence in each child. Our activities are designed to cultivate honesty, loyalty, cooperation, good sportsmanship, and unselfishness. Every day, campers follow a schedule that includes meals, activity periods, camp duties, chapel, campfires, and rest. Our ultimate goal is for each camper to become independent in body, spirit, and mind. By learning to live, think, and act responsibly, campers will gain self-reliance and self-esteem that will last a lifetime.
At BCH, campers experience the beauty of God’s creation in nature and enjoy a break from the distractions of everyday life. Counselors offer a personalized approach, working closely with campers to help them develop meaningful relationships and gain spiritual and personal growth. Through a “small group” approach, campers feel accepted and loved and learn important life skills. BCH provides an incredible opportunity for children to deepen their faith while having fun and creating lasting friendships. The camp also allows campers to take a break from their daily routines and explore God’s creation in the great outdoors. At BCH, campers are encouraged to embrace Christian values and beliefs, while learning important life lessons and developing spiritual and personal growth.
