Reverend Donald Browne had a dream to create a special place on the mountainside between Greenfield and Peterborough, New Hampshire. He named it Brantwood Camp, after the famous hillside home of the same name in England's Lake District, which he had visited in 1900.
At Brantwood Camp, we strive to develop strong moral character and confidence in each child. Our activities are designed to cultivate honesty, loyalty, cooperation, good sportsmanship, and unselfishness. Every day, campers follow a schedule that includes meals, activity periods, camp duties, chapel, campfires, and rest.
Our ultimate goal is for each camper to become independent in body, spirit, and mind. By learning to live, think, and act responsibly, campers will gain self-reliance and self-esteem that will last a lifetime.
Outdoor challenges and experiences are fun and offer innovative learning opportunities. Campers explore nature and astronomy and learn skills in campcraft, water safety, and first aid. Individually designed rope course events inspire campers to succeed and enjoy the outdoors.
