About McKenna Dance Center

Welcome to the Creative Dance Workshop family! We are excited to be in our beautiful, state-of-the-art space, offering premium dance training and a fantastic dance community to the Greater Capital Area and the surrounding areas. We have been providing this service for more than 20 years, and are passionate about helping our students grow as dancers and as kind, confident, and life-ready adults. At Creative Dance Workshop, our core values drive every part of our studio: Excellence, Community, Integrity, Kindness, Trust, and Fun. Our team works hard to ensure that everyone's experience is welcoming, organized, and full of kindness, making it the epitome of a family and community. Tiny Dancers
Our youngest dancers join as soon as they have learned to walk! Come and have some fun with Mom, Dad, Grandma, or any adult as we move to the music. These classes are fantastic for dancers who are walking up to 3 years of age. Each 45 minute class engages your dancer’s creativity by singing songs & dancing. Students and their adult work on gross motor skills, and enjoy quality time together. Recital is optional at the end of the year, but highly encouraged!

Dance Kids
Ages 3-4 Imagine your child twirling with joy, tapping with excitement, leaping with delight, and full of smiles and giggles! Our Dance Kids program teaches your child creative movement, rhythmic skills, and a foundation for motor development as well as imaginative play and fun!

Progressions Combination Classes
Ages 5-9 Early school-age students have the opportunity to take combination classes and try two different genres in one class! Movement, fun & self-esteem is the name of the game in these one-hour, action-packed combination classes. Kinder-Combo (ages 5-6) tap, ballet & jazz Combo I/II (ages 6-7) tap, ballet & jazz Combo II/III (ages 7-8) tap & jazz Combo III/IV (ages 8-9) tap & jazz
